Alerts 1.0

Alerts Sound files Setup

The Alerts cBot will give alerts, when warnings are reached, with sound and email support.

Alerts cBot is free to download!

It can be run on both live and demo accounts without restrictions.

Supports all charts. There are a few parameters that need to be filled in to be informed when the threshold of orders, positions, lots, risk, positions P&L and free margin has been reached. No orders or positions will be closed when an alert is active and triggered.

The Alerts cBot, alerts with warnings on the screen, sends an email and plays a sound file when enabled. Color coded with a negative color information to alert the trader when to take an appropriate action if needed.

The cBot can be placed anywhere on the screen, especially if you detach the window in cTrader. It is small in memory usage and can be resized to fit your workspace.

Open Orders

Open orders show how many orders are placed which have not yet turned into open positions. As soon as an order is executed and filled it will move to the Open Positions information below on the screen. Market orders will not show up here, only limit and stop orders are displayed. If dim lighted color, then no orders are opened. When the alert is reached and is active there will be a ">" sign in front, and the color will change to a negative color. When the open orders alert is set, the screen will give the setting and the trigger amount.

Open Positions

Open Positions gives information on how many active opened positions are filled. Market orders will immediately show up here. Limit and stop orders too when filled. If dim colored indicates that no positions are opened. When the alert is reached and is active there will be a ">" sign in front, and the color will change to a negative color. When the open positions alert is set, the screen will give the setting and the trigger amount.

Lots

When there are open positions this information shows the total lots of all positions. If dim colored, it indicates that no positions are opened. When the alert is reached and is active there will be a ">" sign in front, and the color will change to a negative color. When the open lots alert is set, the screen will give the setting and the trigger amount.

Risk

When positions are in place this will give important information on how high of a risk the positions are in when the stop loss is executed on all positions. This is based on total volume, stop loss of each position, and commission both ways. The risk in amount and in percentage are given. If dim colored indicates that no positions are opened and the risk is, therefore zero. When the alert is reached and is active there will be a ">" sign in front, and the color will change to a negative color. When the risk alert is set, the screen will give the setting and the trigger amount.

Positions P&L

Positions P&L is the profit and loss in the amount on all open positions. Commission both ways are included. If the positions are in positive territory, it will be shown in a positive color and if it's in negative territory, in a negative color, at break-even its dim colored. When the alert is reached and is active there will be a ">" sign in front, and the color will change to a negative color. When the position P&L alert is set, the screen will give the setting and the trigger amount. The position alert is set in a negative amount (-) of the loss that is accepted.

Margin free

This is the free margin that is available from the broker, included all open positions. The broker usually has a cushion and it can alter between brokers. For example, when 40% is left of the account equity then the broker will close all open positions. To prevent scenarios when margin deficiency will cause a margin call or a sell off by the broker, the Margin free information is important to monitor. When the alert is reached and is active there will be a ">" sign in front, and the color will change to a negative color. When the margin alert is set, the screen will give the setting and the trigger amount. The margin free parameter is set in the total amount when it will be triggered. Example: If you have a free margin of 9000 and you set the parameter to 7000 the alert will be triggered when the margin is equal or below 7000.

Play Sound

When an alert is active and the trader wants to be notified by a sound file playing, the parameter "Play Sound" can be set to "Yes". If left in the default "No" no sound will alert the trader. The sound files are triggered depending on your chart setup, 1 minute, 5 minutes or on any time frame that is currently selected. The sound files are: alerts started, orders, positions, lots, risk, positions p&l and free margin. The sound files can be replaced with your own .mp3 files but the original name has to be intact. The files need to be located under the folder C:\RMMRobot\Sounds\Alerts. The log file will give information when a sound file is successfully played.

Send Email

If the parameter "Send Email" is set to "Yes" an email will be sent by the email server specified in the email setting in cTrader or cAlgo. If left in the default "No" no emails will be sent when the alerts are triggered. The emails are sent in the same period as the time frame used, every 1 minute, 5 minutes or any time frame that is currently selected. The email messages sent: orders, positions, lots, risk, positions p&l and free margin. The log file will give information when an email is successfully sent.

The email settings in cAlgo or cTrader need to be enabled and filled out. Go to Preferences > Email Settings. For the Google mail server to deliver the email, the following information needs to be entered. Check mark: Enable E-mail, Use SSL and Use authentication. Server (SMPT): smtp.gmail.com, Port: 587 or 465. Username and password to the Gmail account. When the mail server setup is done and working, enter the sender email address in the parameter "Email From", it is the same email address as in the email settings of cTrader or cAlgo. Fill in the receiver email address in the parameter "Email To". Sender email address and the receiver email address can be the same unless specified differently in the "Email To" parameter.
